Fight For Israel Part 1

This is part to a trilogy I'm writing called The Time Chronicles.  Tell me what you think!

PART ONE
BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEPPPP!!!!   TIME-SPACE WARP APPROACHING!   ESTIMATED DATE: 1873!”   “Ugh!” groaned Snare.  “We are NOT supposed to be even NEAR the 17th century!!  Why can’t quantum travel be easier?”  “We were more aiming for about 721 B.C., right Snare?”  Kace asked.  “That is the time, right?”  “Don’t ask me, you’re the history expert, Kace!  I’m just an old quantum physics professor.”  “I’m only twelve,” said Kace.  “Wait a sec, the computer is saying something.” “WARNING:  ENGINE PARTICLES FAILING.  GRAVITATIONAL PULL OF WARP PULLING SHIP.”  All of the sudden red lights began flashing and the ship started to shudder.  “Can’t you do something?”  yelled Kace over the commotion.  “Can’t you see I’m trying?” returned Snare as he frantically tapped on the holographic computer screens.

In Israel, 721 B.C., David walked down Basha Street.  In fact, you could hardly call it a street.  A thin path made of dirt, dust, and some stones, you can imagine that it made David’s feet rather uncomfortable.  “Thwang!”  An arrow stuck into the wall right beside him.  This wasn’t unusual; the Assyrian army was getting closer and many independent Assyrians had already entered Israel and had started fighting in secret.  It was becoming unsafe on the streets of Jerusalem.  His sisters and mother had already taken to staying inside of their little stone house.  Yet David remembered what his mother still said every day to his sisters.  “The Lord will provide”, she would say.  David glanced in the direction of the arrow.  Sure enough, there was no one there.  David ran as fast as he could toward his house without slipping.  Then he paused for a second and looked into the alley beside him.  He remembered how he and his dad would often take the alley as a shortcut back home.  He turned and bolted into the alley.

Snare glanced at the main monitor.  It was showing a display of the warp’s teleportation makeup.  “Aha!” Snare said.  “This is easy, Kace!  I just change the quantum makeup of this one strand of the warp and it lessens the power!”  “Really?”  Kace asked as Snare activated the four-dimensional holographic module.  “Yes!  Annnnnnd…  Here!  Got it.  Now save changes.  Strap yourself in, Kace!  This is going to be a bumpy ride!”  “Gotcha. You like roller coasters?”  Kace asked.  “Why do you ask?”  asked Snare.  Then, “AIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEE!!!”  The ship had broken out of the gravitational pull of the time warp.  Snare was still screaming when Kace said, “Snare, you probably want to stop.  The shrillness of your voice could combine with the speed of the ship and create a hyperjump.”  Snare stopped and stared at him with his jaw dropped.  “And you probably want to look ahead.”  Snare slowly turned around his chair and immediately opened a computer.  “Warp approaching.  Please identify.”  He said.  “ONE MOMENT PLEASE.” the computer replied.  “APPROXIMATE DATE IS 721 B.C.”  “Great!” laughed Snare as they entered the warp.  “Did you see that?”  “It was pretty good,”  Kace admitted.  “AUTOLAND ACTIVATED.” the computer announced.  Slowly the ship landed and sank a bit into the sand.  Kace stepped out into the middle of a hot desert.

The Old Technology Song

This is so humorous, but NONE OF IT IS TRUE!  (well, except the part about me having a flip-phone.)  I'm sure this will be a great hit with some of my older readers!  If you like this, try the sing-along lyrics version here .

Bad Punter

Here's a video I made with my brother Judah.  The idea came when me and Isaac were playing football.  I was trying to punt to him but I just couldn't do it.  This video is about some more hilarious fails.  Also I am wearing my awesome welding goggles in the video.
